My wife recently gave birth to our first child. He came about 4 weeks early, but didn’t seem to have any problems despite that. Immediately after bring him home, he seemed uncomfortable. It didn’t matter where we laid him; his bassinet, swing, the floor, he seemed uncomfortable. He would constantly be moving, twisting, tightening muscles, and making moaning noises. The medical doctor said this was normal. After a few weeks, he began having reflux issues. So the medical doctor put him on Zantac. But our little man was still fussy & uncomfortable.
A friend of ours recommended taking him to a chiropractor. I thought that was an odd idea, but I was willing to try anything. I had heard about TNHC from my mother who goes there. So we made an appointment. Dr. Thornton gave our 8 week old baby a small adjustment and gave us some probiotics to give him each day. We began seeing immediate improvements. The reflux subsided. He was more comfortable. He slept better at nights. I was impressed. Our little man is now 4 months old and is healthy, happy, and comfortable. Oh, and he’s off Zantac already. I couldn’t ask for a better baby.
Looking back, I now understand the need for a baby to have a small adjustment. Let’s face it, we hurt and are uncomfortable when our back is out or our joints are not quite in place. Well think about what a baby goes through during the birth process. There is no doubt that their back and joints are not going to be in perfect alignment. And not all will go back in place on their own. So a little adjustment is just what a little one needs to be comfortable again. In addition, I am so glad Dr. Thornton provided us with the probiotics to help our baby’s digestion. I’ll take a natural alternative any day over a man-made chemical drug. Man-made drugs have their place; but so do natural alternatives.

My husband is 88 years old. Around the first of the year (2011) he was having itchy arms and legs. Finally the itch settled around his neck. The itch was so miserable that if a shirt or coat touched it, he was even more miserable. He saw 2 family doctors, 2 specialists and an ER doctor. All they could suggest was lotions to reduce the pain. One of the specialists found that his kidney function was extremely poor and that his kidneys may be sending poisons out through his skin instead of urine. In May we moved from Arkansas to Missouri. Our daughter-in-law was seeing Dr. Thornton, a chiropractor who is also trained in alternative medicines. We took him to Dr. T who did lab work and started giving him nutritional medicines, that included Vitamin B shots and pills called Renal Plus, among others. Quickly the itch went away. It’s my personal feeling that without the help of Dr. Thornton he wouldn’t still be alive.

I am fifty-one years old, and I have had trouble for years with extremely heavy periods. Every year it has gotten worse and I have seen many doctors for this condition, only to be told most women have this happen as they get older. Two of the doctor’s responses were that I needed a hysterectomy. One doctor actually said “Let’s wait three or four months and see what happens.” After two months I felt like I was dying, I was so weak I couldn’t even sit up.
I knew that I needed to get help and that a medical doctor wasn’t the answer for me. I went to Dr. Thornton to see if he could help me. At that point, I was so weak I couldn’t sit up and I had to lie down during my consultation. He did some blood work to check my hormone levels and started me on iron supplements that day, along with progesterone which he was sure I needed based on my symptoms. When my blood test came back he started me on a hormone regimen and in a month I was feeling much better. After six months of treatment, I lost twenty-five pounds, feel twenty years younger, and have more energy than I have in years.
I have been a diabetic for several years, but was shocked to see that my blood test showed that my blood sugar levels were extremely high. My A1C level was 12.1 (an average daily glucose level of 323) in May 2011, I was put on specific nutritional medicines and my blood test on September 2011 showed an A1C level of 5.9 (an average daily glucose level of 118) I was excited to see such outstanding results.
I would recommend Dr. Thornton to anyone who wants a doctor that will listen to them and give them the best care available. I know without a doubt, Dr. Thornton saved my life.

I came to Thornton Natural Healthcare for problems with digestion...
I came to Thornton Natural Healthcare for problems with digestion. First, I was asked to fill out a lengthy questionnaire concerning my health and lifestyle, which was actually used in my diagnosis and treatment, unlike medical doctors I saw in the past. I had fought heartburn and reflux for years. Medical doctors always prescribed a drug like Prilosec or Nexium, which seemed to work for a week or so, but never lasted. I’d give up on them due to the high cost, and the fact they weren’t working. I was also taking Simvastatin for high cholesterol.
Dr. Thornton did something I had never heard of before—a tummy massage!!! Don’t laugh—some areas of my abdomen were so tender, and a real red flag indicating liver and gallbladder irritation. The massage helped reduce my hiatal hernia. I was asked to take Beta TCP for the liver/gallbladder, and a product called Digestzymes, that helps break down protein and carbs, so that the digestive process is smoother. In the past while battling indigestion, I also was plagued with constipation. Both products got me on track and feeling like I hadn’t felt in years!! I stopped taking the Simvastatin on my own, feeling convinced it was elevating the LDH level in my blood, indicating possible liver damage!
Also, blood tests were taken to check Thyroid T4 and T3, as well as my level of Vitamin D, which turned out to be very low. After such amazing results, and finally feeling I had some control over my health, I made the decision to quit smoking with the help of acupuncture and supplements. Dr. Thornton was very honest with me, which I appreciated, saying that acupuncture was not a magic bullet—quitting smoking is a hard, ongoing process and the desire to succeed must be there to make it work. Well, he was right!! It is one of the roughest things I’ve done, but I could tell the acupuncture was working, and the supplements made the tough days more bearable. I’ve been smoke-free for 37 days now, something I never thought was possible. Each day seems a little bit better, and I know I have a long way to go, but at least I have HOPE.
I want to mention that I’ve never met such a caring, gentle professional as Dr. Thornton and his staff is so kind and cooperative. Oh, I almost forgot—the chiropractic adjustments at TNHC are the best I’ve ever had!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THORNTON NATURAL HEALTHCARE!!

About three months ago, I started out with a cold and constant coughing, which my primary care physician diagnosed as a sinus infection and placed me on an antibiotic. After taking the course of antibiotics I lost my appetite, developed severe digestive problems, and a continual fluttering of my heart.
Although I have taken blood pressure medication for many years, my blood pressure went extremely high one evening, which sent me to the emergency room. A few days later I had such weakness I could hardly get from my bed to the kitchen table—another trip to the ER. Then, after a few more days I had pain in my left arm and was at the ER again-three visits in one week. The testing done at two hospitals revealed no problem to place me in a hospital; however, I was so sick, I seriously thought I would die.
I decided to try Dr. Jeremy Thornton. On the evening before my first appointment with Dr. Thornton, I experienced such excruciating pain in one leg that I was unable to sleep, as had been the case many nights. Due to my extreme weakness, Dr. Thornton’s staff had to help me onto and off of the therapy table, but after one adjustment the leg pain was greatly relieved. Through testing, Dr. Thornton found a low thyroid condition. With just a few adjustments and nutritional supplements, my situation has seen significant improvement.
I highly recommend Dr. Jeremy Thornton and his caring staff—I wish I would have seen him first.

I remember thinking that no one believed I was sick and accepting that I was going to feel bad forever. I have hypothyroidism....
I remember thinking that no one believed I was sick and accepting that I was going to feel bad forever. I have hypothyroidism and had gained weight, had zero energy, was freezing all the time, and felt like my mind was constantly in a fog. I had visited my family doctor who performed a blood test and told me my thyroid level was normal.
Then one day my throat began to feel like it was swelling shut. When I visited our school nurse she informed me my thyroid was swollen. After researching thyroid problems, I found I had many symptoms of hypothyroidism as I had suspected earlier. I found out I have an extensive family history of thyroid problems and requested to see a specialist. This endocrinologist listened to my symptoms and immediately told me I was depressed. I had to push him to take blood tests and ultrasound my thyroid. The ultrasound revealed an enlarged thyroid and many cysts, but he was not concerned and did not think I needed a follow-up. I received my blood test results in the mail and although they were in the normal range one test was high normal and the other low normal, another indication of hypothyroidism.
I requested to visit another specialist who treated me as though I were jumping from doctor to doctor in search of pills. This specialist stated he/she would give me medicine if my levels were 0.5 pts. higher and wanted me to come back in three months for another test to see if my levels had went up. By this time I had felt terrible for ten months and was giving up on finding anyone who would help me. Then a friend suggested I see Dr. Thornton. I was already a chiropractic patient of Dr. Thornton and knew him to be a compassionate person. I took the test results from the first specialist, told him my story, and walked out that day with a natural supplement for thyroid problems.
Within a month my levels were normal, I had lost twenty pounds and felt wonderful. I am able to teach and have conversations with parents and colleagues without struggling to keep my thoughts straight. Dr. Thornton is a blessing! Thank you!

I’m so thankful someone recommended Dr. Thornton to me, as I feel natural treatment is essential. Initially I went for the problem of blood in my urine and after several months of various natural treatments, the problem is greatly improved. In the process Dr. Thornton discovered I had low thyroid function, elevated homocysteine, and a hormone imbalance. All of these have been successfully resolved with natural treatment. I feel blessed to have been under Dr. Thornton’s care!

By the time that I walked through Dr.Thornton’s doors, I was a very sick woman....
By the time that I walked through Dr.Thornton’s doors, I was a very sick woman. I had been to more doctors then I would like to mention and had been to a clinic in Chicago for help, but was continuing to decline. I was suicidally depressed, anxiety ridden, had no energy, was unable to sleep, suffered chronic constipation, was dropping extreme weight, and was unable to function in daily life. As I sat in my family practitioners office a couple of weeks before, all he could offer was more anti-depressants or a stay in the hospital “to get my medication straightened out.” I knew that was not the answer I was looking for, so I got on the internet to look “Outside the Box,” for help. This is where I found Dr. Thornton.
My first appointment with Dr. Thornton was amazing. He took time to understand the problems and discuss possible reasons why I was feeling the way I was. He didn’t make me feel “crazy.” He assured me that there were big problems that needed to be addressed and that I would start to feel better, but it was going to take time and hard work. I went home believing that there was hope that I could one day feel well again. I have been in care with Dr. Thornton for one-and-a-half years, and am so thankful that God lead me to him for the healing care that I needed.
I feel God used him to save my life. He and his staff are kind and caring people who take seriously what you are going through.

My husband and I used to walk two miles a day, and three days a week we would work out at the Wellness Center. It used to energize me and made me feel better and younger. I started to be tired all the time. So I had my thyroid checked and it turned out my thyroid was low so my doctor put me on 50mg of Levothyroxin a day. Instead of helping, I continued to be tired plus I couldn’t sleep at night. I also started having headaches that I couldn’t get rid of. A friend suggested that I go see Dr. Thornton.
Dr. Thornton put me on some supplements to go with my thyroid pill. In a couple of weeks I began to feel better. I now take ½ Levothyroxin plus my supplement. I sleep well and I’m able to exercise. My headaches are fewer and I continue to get stronger.

I had always been very healthy until I reached 78 years of age. In the spring of 2007 I had a suspicious tick bite, which was checked but was told it wasn’t necessary to investigate further. In May of 2008 I became very ill. After trips to the emergency room, hospitalization in two different hospitals, every test was used to find the cause of my illness. I had mentioned the tick bite but their tests all came back negative. All of the medical professionals I consulted said I was healthy and sent me back home, even though I had many symptoms of Lyme disease. After several frustrating months of no answers my symptoms only increased. Through several referrals I found the Thornton Natural Healthcare Centre. Their tests came back positive for Lyme disease and after several months of his care, I started improving. My belief in natural healthcare, including natural supplements and herbs, along with chiropractic care and other alternative practices had in the past approximately thirty years given me a very healthy lifestyle. I am still improving but I now know this battle can and will be won. I want to thank Dr. Jeremy Thornton and all of his great staff for their concern, support and compassionate care they have shown to me. There are not enough words to express my gratitude.

A year ago I was a patient at Mayo Clinic. My MC# was x-xxx-xxx. I was assigned to you. My problem was persistent fatigue, abdominal pain and chronic diarrhea. You referred me to Dr. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Dr. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Dr. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Dr. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. After being looked at and tested I came home with the same problem I arrived with.
The first day you told me that Mayo Clinic couldn’t always help. You were correct. I was so sure that Mayo Clinic would be able to help me. I was so disappointed. But at least, you prepared me for the disappointment.
This letter is to let you know what caused my problem.
Just thought I’d let you know, so if somebody else came to you with this problem you’d be able to help them.
Medicare paid almost $9,000 for Mayo’s services, which weren’t worth much to me. I wish they paid for Chiropractor services. The two tests cost $934 and I only had to drive about 40 miles.
I was impressed at Mayo with the caring and concern I was shown. It was nice to have met you and the other doctors.
Please give the other doctors a copy of this letter.

I will start this testimonial by giving a little personal history. I am 57 years old and for the last 20 years, I have had allergies that have progressively gotten worse, especially the last three years, to the point I was going in for shots to help relieve the symptoms. I was also about 10 to 15 pounds overweight. If I had to bend over, I would run out of air. I also did not seem to have any energy and could not get enough rest at night. I figured this was just the way it was when you were in your fifties. I was not looking forward to what it would be like in my sixties.
I can’t remember what had happened to cause me to go to Dr. Thornton, whom I had visited several times in the past, but am pretty sure it was something to do with my wife having me do something that a 57 year old man shouldn’t be doing, especially when he can’t bend over without running out of air and passing out. But, due to the fact that I love my wife, I had done something to my body that I needed Doc to fix. While I was waiting, I saw on the TV screen to ask the Doctor about what could be done about allergy problems, so I did.
After Doc told me about the test and diet, I told him that I was to the point I didn’t care what I had to do I was tired of not being able to go outside without getting headaches, my eyes swelling and not being able to breathe. So I began the diet and little did I know it at the time, but a new lease on life for me. Within two weeks, I could feel the difference. Also, I had irritable bowel problems for 20 years and now that problem was disappearing.
I will have to say that this diet is not something that is easy to accomplish, but if you are willing to sacrifice the way you have been eating all of your life for just a few months, I can guarantee you that it will be well worth the sacrifice.
Here’s what the process had done for me. I have lost fifteen pounds and it has stayed off for two months. My allergies have been reduced by 80%. I no longer have severe headaches, my eyes do not swell shut and my energy level has increased by an unimaginable amount. (Sure hope my wife doesn’t see that one!) I no longer have an IBS problem and am able to bend over and work on things without my air running out.
If you have any of the problems that I have mentioned and you are tired of feeling worn out, I suggest you ask Dr. Thornton what he can do to help. I can truly say that this was one of the best things that I have ever done for myself. It has started me off on a healthier life. THANKS DOC.

I suffered a devastating blow to my health in December 2006. It was diagnosed as a stroke. The remedies that followed were debilitating. I lost thirty pounds and caught the flu for the first time in thirty years. I was not recovering. My condition continued to worsen. I had always depended on chiropractors to maintain good health but I did not know what a “chiropractic internist” was. Out of desperation I went to Dr. Jeremy Thornton. I felt he was my last hope. I found what I believe to be the new age of medicine that works not only in practice and theory but in the attitude of the physician. I found Dr. Thornton to be an exceptional caring and thorough physician. I found someone actually interested in me making a full recovery. I was not a number on an assembly line being fed debilitating expensive prescriptions one after another and wondering what was happening to me. That only made matters worse. After delving thoroughly into all aspects of my health Dr. Thornton found out what my problem was. I found out the difference between treating causes instead of just treating symptoms. I am now nearly fully recovered. Dr. Thornton is not only a remarkable physician but a fantastic human being. Just entering his office is a wonderful experience. He has augmented his outstanding practice by assembling marvelous staff to assist him in his healing mission. The practitioners of traditional medicine could learn much from doctors like Jeremy Thornton.

I mentioned suffering from restless leg syndrome, being tired and having poor sleeping habits to Dr. Thornton during one of my visits. I had been taking prescription drugs to help control these problems. I suffered side effects from the prescriptions, wondering if the cure was worth different negative symptoms. Dr. Thornton suggested a saliva test for my adrenal glands and other body functions. My test results were all over the place so he recommended certain herbs and supplements to help my body balance itself naturally. After 3 days of being on this combination, I had my first good nights sleep in years, my energy level went up and I slowly started to lose weight without changing my life style! I was lucky being raised in a family that had a chiropractor in it. I continued this care as I got older and moved around, being treated while pregnant and starting my daughter when she was 2 weeks old, but none of them had the advanced internal education as Dr. Thornton. I have always believed in the natural balance that chiropractic care provides to a body, but the combined knowledge and use of herbs, natural supplements and manipulation is amazing. Thank you Dr. Thornton and staff for your care and support in giving me a better and healthier life.

I have lived a very active life. I have been an RN in a trauma center, firefighter, First Responder, technician on the Hazardous Materials Team, racquetball twice a week and jogging—all while raising three active boys. In 1996, after being involved in a minor car accident, fibromyalgia set in with a vengeance. I was unable to work, drive or even do the most simple household chores. Depression followed, then ulcers, a liver cyst, elevated blood pressure and hypoglycemia. I was given antidepressants, resulting in a 93 lb. weight gain. In December 2000, I gave up on living a normal life again. In October 2004, I pulled a muscle in my back and was placed on complete bed rest for a few days. I became weaker and began having fevers, sore throat and generalized pain. I spent 20 hours everyday in bed. Four M.D.s couldn’t find anything wrong and contributed my symptoms to a severe fibromyalgia attack. I was rapidly losing muscle tone and too weak to sit up for more than a few minutes at a time. I was told to get my affairs in order.
In December of 2004, I was referred to Dr. Thornton’s office. He recommended testing that other doctors hadn’t considered. Lab tests revealed that I had Epstein Barr Virus, adrenal exhaustion, food sensitivities, low thyroid, high levels of inflammation, low vitamin/mineral levels and a systemic candida infection. After several months of treatment with nutritional supplements, chiropractic care, diet changes and exercise, I have a new lease on life. Each day I wake up with the desire to live, and live well! I have no further hypoglycemic symptoms. My energy has improved. Ultrasound shows that the liver cyst is gone. I have less pain. My blood pressure is back to low-normal. I exercise daily, eat right and have lost 34 lbs!
Another exciting fact is that since feeling better, I met a great guy and got married! I look forward to what the future holds for me, and am very thankful to Dr. Thornton for his caring attitude, insight and patience.

My 4½-year-old daughter was having severe abdominal pain. The pediatrician first diagnosed a possible stomach virus. The pain would re-occur at least once a week, and the only way that my daughter would be able to sleep through the night was with a heat pack on her stomach.
When she turned 5, it looked as if she was starting to grow pubic hair. The pediatrician ran some tests, and referred us to an endocrinologist. She also asked that my daughter be given an ultrasound of her ovaries, and her adrenal glands, as these may be causing the abdominal pain. The endocrinologist examined my daughter and looked at her lab work, and told us that she had Preadrenarchy, with a very high level of DHEA hormone, which is produced by the adrenal glands, and is a normal indicator of pre-puberty. Her other hormone levels were fine, and there were no growths/swelling found in her ultrasound exam. We were told that this condition indicated that my daughter would likely enter puberty at an early age (possibly by age 6), and that there was no treatment or cure that could stop this from happening. We spoke to the endocrinologist about visiting Dr. Thornton’s clinic, and the doctor was supportive of this alternative, and said, “there are no options that I can give you.”
Dr. Thornton also ran tests (with saliva this time, no needles!), and he found that not only was her DHEA hormone elevated too much for her age, but that she had high levels of cortisol in the middle of the night, which was preventing her from sleeping well. He was able to give us a comprehensive explanation of exactly what was happening in my daughter’s case, and he prescribed supplements (to be taken in the mornings) and a sleep routine which gave us hope that maybe something could be done to keep my daughter from entering puberty too early.
Within two weeks of starting the sleep routine and the supplements, my daughter was asleep by 8:00 pm every night (she has always had problems going to sleep). Her stomach aches are few and far between now, and there are no other physical signs of early puberty. When Dr. Thornton ran her tests again three months later, her levels were completely normal. The endocrinologist also re-checked my daughter’s levels (needles again), and had the same findings.
My daughter has stopped taking the supplements, and we no longer have to try so hard with the sleep routine, she falls asleep at bedtime with no problems.
Dr. Thornton and his staff were wonderful. We can’t thank them enough for their perseverance, patience, and prices!

After a normal pregnancy, it came time for us to schedule a version and induction at 39 weeks. Labor and delivery went wonderful without any complications....
After a normal pregnancy, it came time for us to schedule a version and induction at 39 weeks. Labor and delivery went wonderful without any complications. On May 9, 2007 at 6:05 p.m. we learned the gender of our newest baby. Congratulations it’s a boy! We were so thrilled. He was 20 ¼ inches long and 9 lbs. The on-call pediatrician detected a heart murmur right away. By the next day it was gone, and relief overwhelmed me. Our little Travis Drake is the youngest of our four children. We have one girl, Tori Dawn is 5 ½ yrs, Toby David is 4 yrs, and Tony Driscoll is 2 yrs.
On Father’s Day, as we were sitting in church I noticed that Travis wasn’t breathing while he was asleep. He was sleeping in his car seat and I grabbed the seat and rushed out into the hall. I was so surprised by this behavior; I just kept studying him to be sure this was true. I woke him up and took him out of his set, and then he resumed breathing properly. Travis was not scared or alarmed in any way. I was completely confused. Travis was my fourth child, and I have never had a baby do this before. That next day I took my 5-week-old-son to the ER because there were no appointments available at our clinic. They looked him over and took his temperature, and sent me on my way with a follow-up appointment with our clinic. Travis was having these episodes every time he slept. Day four of this behavior we went to our appointment, and his doctor found nothing. He ordered an apnea monitor and referred me to a pulmonologist in Springfield. Travis was seen by the specialist after being on the monitor for only three days. He had 11 apnea episodes in three days. An apnea episode is when the breathing stops for 20 seconds or longer, the monitor would beep once and continue to beep until he would either self correct or I would stimulate his awareness. These episodes were causing the low heart rate alarm. My sweet baby was now 6 weeks old and I couldn’t fix the problem. Many of our friends and family were praying for Travis. Churches all across the states covering from Washington to Tennessee to North Carolina to Delaware and many more. Travis was admitted to the hospital at seven weeks old. He was diagnosed with central sleep apnea and was high risk for SIDS.
July 2 the testing began and lasted for four days. The doctor and nurses were all so wonderful and thoughtful. Each day, facing a new test to be run, they were very supportive. Travis was on an apnea monitor and pulse ox at all times along with #1 catheter urine test #2 blood test every day #3 a brain ultrasound #4 chest x-ray #5 upper GI #6 esophagus x-ray (he had to drink 6 oz of barium) #7 spinal tap #8 cat scan of his brain #9 an EKG #10 many rectal temps which resulted in blood in his stool. Every test came back with a good report except #6 resulting in reflux. So Travis was given three different meds. The Zantac and Reglan were for the reflux, and Aminophollin as a brain stimulant. The stimulant was supposed to work like caffeine to alert the brain to remember to breathe.
When I was a little girl my parents taught us to find a song, and a scripture verse when we were in difficult situations. Every time I have had a trial or a hardship, the Lord gave me a song, and a verse. I was scared and lonely up in the hospital waiting for some sort of information. That is when the Lord gave me this song “I’ve got confidence, my God is gonna see me through, no matter what the case may be, my God is gonna fix it for me, because I’ve got confidence.” This song helped me remember that our son, as well as all of us, are in God’s hands. I actually still sing this song during current hard times.
Our 8-week-old son, weighing 12 lbs. was sent home with an apnea monitor and three meds. His apnea episodes were not changing and I was very discouraged. Over the next two weeks Travis stopped gaining weight and was unbelievably fussy, he would just cry and scream all the time. He was spitting up much more than he had ever done in the past. I cry when I look back and read the journal of those weeks. My heart throbs knowing all that my young sweet baby has gone through. When we say he had a blood test, the details are so often left unheard. Like the cold rubber band that is tied around his sweet tiny arm, and he is poked and probed until the tiniest little vein is found. All the while the little ones pain free world has been invaded.
On July 10 the pulmonologist noticed that Travis would not look over his left shoulder. She said his neck muscle was tight and she sent me home to work on it. She also increased all three of his meds to the maximum. My feelings were that the medications were not working and I was hoping that they would tell me to take him off of them. I had already taken him off of the Zantac and Reglan because they seemed to make him very fussy. Travis was still weighing only 12 lbs. He had not gained even one ounce in two weeks. What is a mother to do, but run for help when she is uncertain. A mother’s two worst nightmares are miscarriage (stillborn) and SIDS. I was facing my worst nightmare. It was the third week of concern and of no sleep. How could I possibly rest knowing that at any second my baby might die. A couple of times I fell asleep trusting that the apnea monitor would wake me up, and when I woke up I found that the monitor had gone off and the apnea light was on and I didn’t hear it. The scary thing is that it always has to be reset after each apnea in order for the monitor to register another apnea. My worry was that he would be having more apnea episodes with the alarm not being available. I left Travis on the monitor but took him off of the stimulant. The Lord gave me this verse Hebrews 2:13 “And again, I will put my trust in Him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.”
On July 13 I had an appointment with my chiropractor for myself. I talked with him about Travis and gave him the details of what we had been through, and I asked him to take a look at Travis. Travis’ neck and back were out of alignment and definitely needed an adjustment. Dr. Thornton gave my 9 week old his first adjustment and Travis loved every minute of it. Some people may think that is crazy, and I might have too a year or so ago, but after allowing Travis to go through all that he had been through, I did not have any reservations with putting Travis in Dr. Thornton’s capable hands. But the miracle of it is that he has not had one apnea since that morning and has been off all medications.
Travis is four months old now and is doing fantastic. He rolls over and is grabbing at toys. He coos and giggles all the time. He loves talking to his daddy. He loves to suck his thumb and is beginning to like the pacifier. Many times I find myself just staring at him while I watch him sleep. I love watching his tummy go up and down with each breath he takes. He has quite a friendly personality and I thank the Lord each day for this little life He placed in our care. I love Travis’s story, it’s such a miracle from the Lord. I would love to proclaim it. I think that if more people knew about Travis, it would help in evaluating the options for their health needs. Most people trust a doctor’s judgment, and it is often overlooked to seek beyond that. I believe that the Lord used Travis’ chiropractic adjustment to cure his condition. Others can learn from our experience and seek this natural choice first, it would have saved Travis from so much pain and discomfort.
We give God the glory and are grateful that we put Travis IN HIS HANDS.

I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Thornton to any of my clients seeking alternative health care! EVERY client I have referred to Dr. Thornton has come back and thanked me! Dr. Thornton treated me with compassion and utmost competence—as an individual, not a number. I’ve never met a healthcare practitioner so committed to advanced learning and training as Dr. Thornton. He also has an awesome staff: professional and full of heart.
Personally, I was at a loss for answers for a wrist problem and thyroid condition that the medical world couldn’t fix—he helped me with both! The combination of chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, and natural supplements worked wonders for me! I am feeling great! I now believe I can maintain my good health as I continue preventative care with Dr. Thornton. Thank you, Dr. Thornton! You’re the best!

I have had trouble with my menstrual cycle all of my life. It started with horrible cramps that got bad enough I nearly passed out. I lost a large amount of blood each month and started to get migraines the first couple of days of each menstrual cycle. After years of doctors prescribing painkillers that wouldn’t help, I was referred to a specialist. After performing endoscopy, hysteroscopy, and a D&C, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. At that point the doctor told me that I was faced with two choices: I could be treated with an injection that would put my body into a false menopause and it might improve things but it had many side effects or I could attempt to have children if I ever wanted them. Well, we opted to wait and see if I got pregnant. A year and a lot of pain later I was not better off. I consulted Dr. Thornton and through a series of saliva tests on my hormones found that I was low in progesterone post ovulation. I began taking supplements and felt better in about a month. I was no longer tired and there was no pain with my menstrual cycle. I also began losing weight that I had not been able to lose through exercise. Three months after starting the supplements I found out that I was pregnant. With my history of low progesterone, Dr. Thornton monitored my progesterone levels to prevent miscarriage common with progesterone deficiency. I took supplements daily for the first trimester. We now have a healthy baby girl and I feel much better physically and mentally. My husband and I are so grateful to Dr. Thornton for his help.

When I was having a lot of tension in my neck and back, Dr. Thornton did an excellent job in re-aligning my spine. He also suggested various stretching exercises to help strengthen the muscles that support my skeletal structure and keep my spine held more firmly in place. Following his treatments, there was an exquisitely relaxing heat therapy that always made me very drowsy; on occasion, I literally fell asleep, embarrassing myself. Not only did I get the feeling that Dr. Thornton truly cared about me as a person and that he was genuinely interested in seeing me overcome my health problems, but his staff members were also very warm and friendly and the entire atmosphere of the clinic was inviting and hospitable. To top it all off, the rates at TNHC are significantly lower than many other such practices in the region. I would recommend Dr. Thornton’s services to anybody.
